Official invite: The verified Unstable SMP Discord invite is https://discord.gg/unstable-network. It is linked from this site, so it is the correct one.
Why join the Discord
The Discord is where Unstable SMP actually communicates. Version changes, maintenance windows, event announcements and rule updates are all posted there first, and the website is not updated as quickly. If you want to know whether the server is down or whether a version will be refused, the Discord is the authoritative answer.
What the Discord is used for
| Channel type | What you will find | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Announcements | Server events, version changes, maintenance notices | Everyone - read only |
| Support and tickets | Private help threads answered by staff | Players needing help |
| Appeals | Ban appeal submissions | Banned players |
| Reports | Player and build reports | Anyone |
| Community chat | Player conversation, screenshots, clips | Everyone |
| Events | Creator sessions and community events | Everyone |
Version changes and compatibility
The Discord is the first place a new supported version is announced. Before you reinstall Minecraft or change your client version because of an "outdated client" message, check the announcements - the team posts the current supported range there first. Unstable SMP currently advertises 1.21.1+ on Java.
Avoid Discord and account scams
Wemmbu has stated publicly that there is no unofficial Discord server and that you should always be sceptical of anyone claiming to be them or an Unstable SMP member outside the official YouTube channels. Treat every DMs asking for your Minecraft login, Microsoft account or payment as an attempt to steal your account.
- Staff will never ask for your Minecraft password, session token or Microsoft account details.
- Nobody can unban you over DMs. Appeals go through the official appeals channel only.
- There is no official Discord server other than the one linked on this site.
- Verify any "giveaway" against the official announcements channel before acting on it.
Getting help
For a connection problem, the troubleshooting guide resolves most issues faster than a support thread. If you still need help, post in the support channel with your username, client version and the exact error message. You can also email support@unstablesmp.io.
Events and creator sessions
Unstable SMP regularly hosts community events and creator video sessions. Wemmbu, FlameFrags, ParrotX2 and Spoke film their series on the server, and event announcements are posted in the Discord before they happen. Event joins sometimes move players to a temporary lobby, so watch for the pre-event instructions.
