Join in four steps

1. Open Minecraft Java Edition.
2. Click Multiplayer, Add Server, and enter unstablesmp.io with no port.
3. Join. There is no whitelist, no application and no purchase.
4. Read the spawn orientation markers and pick a base.

What you need

Cracked launchers, offline mode clients and shared logins are banned on Unstable SMP. No legitimate staff member will ever ask for your Minecraft or Microsoft password - that is always a scam.

Your first session

Most new players follow the same route, and it works:

1. Read the spawn orientation markers before you teleport anywhere.
2. Gather basic supplies - wood, food and a bed before travelling far.
3. Claim a base away from main roads. ClownPierce Castle is a common early choice.
4. Visit Merchant City once you have something worth trading.
5. Walk to Capital City when you have a bed - it is a long trip.

Before you play

Read the rules first - they are short. The three that catch people out:

• No hacked clients. KillAura, reach, ESP, X-ray and fly are bans.
• PvP is allowed, but dupes and exploits are not.
• Optimisation mods are fine. Sodium and Lithium are explicitly allowed.
